Garda-Man charged in connection with robbery Clogherhead County Louth 20th April 2015<br />
Gardaí have charged a man, 24 years, in connection with a robbery which occurred at Clogherhead, County Louth yesterday, Monday 20th April 2015. The man appeared before Drogheda District Court this morning Tuesday 21st April 2015 at 10.30am. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Clover Hill District Court next Tuesday, 28th April 2015 at 10.30am. <br />

Two other men arrested in connection with this investigation remain in Garda custody, detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended, at Drogheda and Dundalk Garda Stations.<br />

As part of an ongoing operation by the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, three men were arrested following an armed robbery of a Post office in Clogherhead, Co. Louth today Monday the 20th April, 2015. <br />
<br />
The incident occurred at approximately 11.45am when three men entered the Post Office, one armed with a sawn-off shotgun. As they left the Post Office they were confronted by Gardaí. A 25 year old man was arrested by Gardaí attached to the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau. A sawn-off shotgun and a quantity of cash were also recovered. <br />

With the assistance of local Gardaí and the Regional Support Unit, two further men (24 and 36 years) were arrested. They are detained at Dundalk and Drogheda Garda stations under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.<br />

Gardaí are seeking witnesses to the incident, particularly anyone who was in the supermarket/post office between 11am and 12 mid-day. Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room at Dro
